Approximately 120 acres of planted fields of millets and cover crops provide the perfect location for our Dove Hunts. Guides will take you to the fields where you will remain in a pre-built blind. You must remain in this location for safety reasons and out of respect for other hunters. Here you will remain still to help keep the birds from flaring off as they approach. When up to a limit of 12 birds are shot, guides will assist you with locating your birds and transport you to cleaning facilities. Guests are required to have a Florida Hunting License and a Migratory Bird Permit in order to participate in this expedition, which can be ordered from www.myfwc.com. Regarding firearms, we suggest the use of twenty or twelve guage shotguns, and a minimum of three boxes of shot shells per person per day of # 7 1/2 or 8. All shells must be low brass and shotguns must be limited to a three shell capacity. You will need a cooler for your birds and someting to sit on between flights of birds. You may also bring decoys and a small cooler of drinks. However, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are allowed in the fields. Apparel for this hunt should include a camouflage shirt and pants or dark blue jeans or other long pants and a camouflage hat. Do not wear light colors as it will cause the birds to flare before they come within hunting range. Please also bring rain gear and bug spray, as mosquitos can be bad during dove hunting season.
