With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, Everglades National Park was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than its geological features. Most of the 1.5 million acres in the Park are essentially out of reach, however this photographer tour will take photographers and their equipment to areas seldom reached by photographers. As photo opportunities changes with the season, so do the tours; and many will run deep into the Park’s interior to reach a shoot location. All photography tours are customized based on the guests desires, the season, the wildlife and the weather. The flat-decked power boat tour provides a shooting platform for one tripod. An electric trolling motor is used to manuever the boat into position for photo shots and to silently approach the wildlife. The tandem-kayaks or canoes tour allows penetration into the mangrove tunnels and tidal creeks, areas where a traditional boat cannot reach. The photographer sits in the front and the guide will sit in the back handling the paddling and positioning of the boat. Guides are licensed Coast Guard captains, naturalists and wildlife photographers.
$399 for the Photographer and two guests for Powerboat guided tour.
